Serendipity

I walk every day. I am not married to the clock but I try to go out early, especially in these warmer summer days.

Once in awhile, I drive to a park I like and spend an hour roaming the hills and green grass in my bare feet, a technique I read about not long ago that helps with being grounded (it works!)

Well, I took a wrong turn and instead of going back, I decided to just see what was around. I ended up in a large grocery store parking lot near an industrial park. Plenty of sidewalks and low traffic for a Sunday. I parked the car, slathered on the sun screen and started walking.

I came upon a Wyndham Resort that was very deserted. There were maybe three cars in the whole parking lot. I started walking around the parking lot and I came across a walking path at the back of the lot. It was quiet, except for the crickets, birds and all the other wonderful nature sounds. I felt like I was at my favorite park! And there was even some lovely undisturbed patches of cool grass I spent 15 minutes walking in.

What an amazing discovery. And all because I made a wrong turn.

The more I experience life, the more I believe there are no accidents, just opportunities.
